February - Children Make Pre-Valentine's Day Nursing Home Visit
Magnolia UMC member Doris Sheppard was on hand to welcome 10 of our children and their parents to her home – the Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center on Sherwood Forest Blvd. Doris took her visitors on a tour of the nursing home, and the children gave residents gifts of socks containing toiletries and candy.
Residents enjoyed hearing the kids sing "Jesus Loves Me" and "Deep and Wide" - and the kids had fun giving out lots of Valentine's hugs.
(3/18/15) Join us at MUMC's monthly Birthday Luncheon - every third Wednesday at noon.

(11/30/14) The Lights of Advent: MUMC member Ann Broome puts the finishing touches on Magnolia's Chrismon tree, decorated during our Hanging of the Greens service on Sunday. In the background, Allison Bourke's beautiful poinsettia window design reflects the colors of the season.
(11/30/14) At Deerford UMC, member Mel St. Amant designed a special service around the decorating of the Chrismon tree. Dozens of white and gold Chrismons - individual ornaments, each bearing a Christian symbol - were placed upon the tree as church members read descriptions of their meaning and origin.
